The Manager of General Ledger Accounting position is responsible for leading the company’s month-end close and reporting processes, reviewing reconciliations, performing technical accounting research and reviewing/ updating documentation of policies and procedures. This position supervises the General Ledger Accountants, assigning/auditing their work, while personally handling more difficult procedures and analyses.

• Manage the General Ledger Accountants, including development and training of personnel.
• Oversee and manage month end close process as it relates to SG&A categories. Includes preparing/reviewing related journal entries and account reconciliations, analyzing account activity, and leading trend review meetings.
• Works closely with AP and other departments to ensure proper coding of invoices.
• Analysis of general ledger accounts and assist with monthly review for departmental cost leaders.
• Assist finance team with review of variance to budget and provide data as necessary to assist team with budgeting and forecasting.
• Lead quarterly balance sheet review presentations including monthly review of all account reconciliations.
• Lead financial monthly review presentation and preparation of financial slides.
• Prepare and distribute monthly GAAP and management financial reports, including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Statement of Cash Flows, including variance analysis to last year and budget.
• Preparation of financial reports for various internal and external reporting purposes.
• Prepare audit and tax schedules as related to financial areas.
• Lead annual audit process with external auditors.
• Maintain accounting reference files, including account descriptions for coding, accrual and amortization policies, etc. as well as assist in documentation of existing policies and establishment of new or updated policies.
• Maintain SAP FI module, including maintain hierarchy, set-up of GL accounts, profit/cost centers, allocation distribution, opening/closing periods, and annual roll forward/set up processes.
• Ad hoc reporting, analysis and projects as requested.

• BS in Accounting
• 8+ years accounting experience
• SAP ERP/HANA experience required
• Strong analytical, organizational and verbal/written communication skills
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Advanced Excel; proficient in PowerPoint and Word
• CPA preferred

The primary environment for this role is a combination of an open office and a remote workplace. Considerable business is conducted using the telephone and computer technology. This role is expected to be on-site in Home Office 1-2 days per week on an ongoing basis. Travel may be required to stores, conferences or events up to 5% of the time.

The salary range for this role is $115,000-$145,000 annually. The range describes the minimum to maximum likely rate for this job description in the state of Colorado. Individual pay will be determined based on skills and qualifications for the role. The salary range for this same position may be lower or higher in markets outside of Colorado.
